Will Britney Spears tie the knot again soon?

One of Louisiana’s most famous residents, Britney Spears, recently said that she would “love” to get married again, telling People Magazine that she “believe[s] in the fairytale.”

Spears has been dating producer Charlie Ebersol for six months, but before she starts planning on meeting him at the altar she should first think about a prenuptial agreement.

Although we would all like to believe in the fairytale “happily ever after,” the reality is that many marriages end in divorce. And if anyone understands this, it’s Spears.

The pop star has actually been married twice. Her first marriage was to her childhood friend, and it ended with an annulment just 55 hours after it began. By having the marriage annulled, the court essentially ruled that there was no marriage in the first place, so Spears didn’t have to worry about her childhood friend running away with part of her fortune.

Then, Spears’ second marriage was to a backup dancer who proposed after just three months of dating. According to reports, Spears was hesitant to enter a prenup, but she decided to have one created at the recommendation of Donald Trump and other celebrity mentors.

It was a good thing she did as the marriage ended just over two years later. According to Forbes, under the terms of the prenup, Spears’ ex received just $1 million of her hard-earned cash.

Ultimately, if Spears were to decide to marry her current beau, it is more than likely that she would have the foresight to enter another prenuptial agreement. After all, it’s still possible to have that fairytale ending with an ironclad prenup in place just in case.
