Bio

David F. Davenport, Jr. is an associate attorney with Rowe & Manning Law Firm whose practice focuses primarily on civil litigation, with an emphasis on homeowners’ association law, family law, estate planning and succession matters, and property-related disputes. He represents individuals, families, property owners, and businesses in matters ranging from initial case evaluation and pre-suit strategy through discovery, substantive motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.

David approaches each matter with an emphasis on understanding both the legal and practical considerations affecting his clients. His litigation experience includes evaluating complex factual and legal issues, developing case strategy, conducting discovery, drafting and arguing substantive motions, negotiating resolutions, and advocating for clients throughout the litigation process. He strives to provide clients with a clear understanding of their legal position and the options available to them at each stage of a matter.

David earned his Juris Doctor and Diploma in Comparative Law from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. While at LSU Law, he distinguished himself academically, finishing at the top of his class in Energy Law. During law school, he also served as a Rule XX Special Assistant District Attorney, gaining valuable courtroom experience while assisting with felony and misdemeanor matters. His responsibilities included appearing in court for probable cause hearings and other proceedings, providing him with early practical experience in courtroom advocacy and criminal procedure.

Prior to attending law school, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Louisiana State University, with a minor in Biology. His business background provides a practical perspective that complements his legal practice, particularly when representing clients in property, contractual, business, and other civil disputes.

David’s practice also includes estate planning and succession matters. He assists clients with planning for the transfer and protection of their assets while also representing clients in disputes arising during the administration of estates and successions.

A proud Louisiana native, David graduated from St. Paul’s School in Covington, Louisiana, before continuing his education at Louisiana State University. He is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association and is committed to serving clients throughout Louisiana with thoughtful, thorough, and practical legal representation.

David understands that legal disputes often involve significant financial, personal, and family considerations. He works closely with his clients to develop practical strategies tailored to their individual circumstances and advocates for their interests from the initial consultation through resolution.
